Not to anyone. Not for all the gold in Detroit.

The American king did not take the insult lightly.

What followed was not a racing program.

It was a corporate execution.

A tidal wave of American capital and blue-collar steel.

Hundreds of minds working under a single directive: destroy the red cars.

Three years of public humiliation, black smoke, and bitter failure.

Chassis that twisted under the strain, gearboxes that dissolved into metal shavings,

And a massive assembly-line corporation trying to teach itself how to fly —

Attempting to conquer the high priests of speed on their own sacred asphalt.

Le Mans.

When the twenty-four hours expired into the French twilight,

Three blue-oval silhouettes crossed the line in a synchronized firing squad.

First. Second. Third.

The prancing horses had vanished into the dust of the Sarthe.

The most absolute act of industrial vengeance ever recorded,

Executed in broad daylight before the eyes of the entire world.

The Old Man in Maranello never spoke of it publicly.

He didn't need to.

The scoreboard was the final judgment.
