VOLUME I — BMW M635CSi, ETCC Grid 1984

The Sharknose Blueprint — The High-RPM Monarchy | SERIES: MUNICH / M-TEK by MIENchic

The Apex Grand Tourer.

The ancestral engine castings were officially retired, and the modern motorsport division drew its signature weapon.

This print records the inaugural track campaign of the MUNICH / M-TEK archive: the 1984 BMW M635CSi. Stepping onto the intense, high-velocity grids of the European Touring Car Championship, this was the machine that took the elegant luxury coupe and stuffed it with the raw, high-revving soul of a supercar.

Beneath its long, aggressive sharknose front end sat the M88 24-valve inline-six engine—a dual-overhead-cam masterpiece borrowed directly from the mid-engined M1 program.

This print captures the E24 in its absolute racing element, stripping away the luxury leather to expose a track-widened, hard-cornering predator. Emphasizing its grand touring taxonomy, a bold, oversized "GRAND" typographical graphic anchors the tail panel—a nod to the brutal, continent-crossing velocity that defined 1980s European motorsport. It didn't just compete against the high-displacement V8 establishment; it systematically out-revved them.

They didn't build a touring car to follow the regulations of the track. They tuned an 11,000-RPM scream to bend the grid to its will.

The art was simply winning.
